SCOOTER RENTAL
Scooters remain available for rental in town with rates about half those of a golfette. Although the scooters can carry two passengers, we recommend only one person per vehicle on the twisting island roads unless the driver is experienced. Riding is prohibited in the heart of town from 9:00 to noon and from 14:00 to 16:00.
ON FOOT
Many visitors do all of their exploring by walking. The tropical heat and the hilly terrain make this option best for those in good physical condition.
BIKE RENTAL
Mountain bikes are available for visitors who have the stamina to handle the island's very hilly terrain. Some electric assisted bicycles are also available.
TAXI / BUS
Taxi-minivans are available for island tours and for travel on the island. Most carry 5-10 passengers and generally provide two-hour tours, including a stop at Fort Napoléon. There is no regularly scheduled bus service in Les Saintes.
SHUTTLE BOATS
For a small fee, shuttle boats (navettes) make round-trips between Terre-de-Haut and Terre-de-Bas several times per day.
